This is a special announcement and one we have been working on for some time. In early October SeeMe embarked on an ambitious project (along with everything else!) to raise money to directly help artists gain more recognition, feedback and access to opportunity.
SeeMe will revolutionize access for artists and grow the market for new art from unknown and emerging artists by providing transparency and direct connections between artists and the “new art consumer.”
Now we are inviting you to be a part of it.
For two years we have worked with numerous artists, held multiple successful open calls and exhibitions around the world, talked to hundreds of art-loving consumers, analyzed the industry and come to the conclusion that (a) there is no single go-to place where any artist can show his/her work and biographical information and (b) there is no single go-to place where art lovers or collectors can easily discover artists, follow them and make direct connections with them.
Our plan next year is to introduce SeeMe 2.0 which will resemble a “LinkedIn” type product for artists that is free for any artist to use (just like LinkedIn) with graduated value-add service offerings for members like access to open calls, a robust event calendar, publishing capability (distribution/sales opportunities) and other services. This platform will be the perfect place to help you connect with art lovers, consumers and galleries interested in connecting with you.
As you might guess, this is an ambitious project and we need to raise money to achieve this vision and create greater access for artists. Fortunately, we are raising capital on one of the most exclusive equity crowdfunding platforms in the world, SeedInvest. By investing, you can receive perks specific to artists ; if you are interested please check it out here. We will share our progress as we go and hope to work together to build a more beautiful future, increase access for and to artists, and contribute to your professional success.
Regardless of whether you consider investing personally, you can definitely help by referring anyone you think might be interested.
