“We can’t take flight if we don’t first spread our wings. These days I ask questions like how much do I play with a photograph for it to be digital art and how much do I manipulate for digital art to become abstract? My abstracts are layers upon layers. Sometimes I am more intentional in my exploration of art, such as in the Textured series. Sometimes, I twist and turn to an unexpected destination, such as the ever-changing Kaleidoscopes that are a childhood love. I never ask can I do it.”

Y. Hope Osborn has been a writer and a visual artist since she was young, photographing with a 110mm camera as a child. Building on her early love of writing, she went on to earn an MA in Professional and Technical Writing with Creative Nonfiction emphasis in 2020.

Today, Hope is a freelance writer and emerging artist residing in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA—a city fast becoming a mecca for artists. Capturing black and white photography and abstract color photography are her sweet spots.

During the last three years, she has been awarded two solo exhibitions and been included in multiple group exhibits in local and international competitions, and publications, including recognition as a finalist in two See|Me exhibitions ‘Nature/Nurture’ and ‘Journeys’.
