“Beauty is the thing I love most, but not beauty for beauty’s sake alone. I feel that real beauty can’t exist without interior harmony. My whole adult life I've been struggling to reach this state of harmony with myself. Some of my works are reflexions of this struggle, other ones are the products of moments of harmony. My identity is strongly determined by the fact that I have been living in so many different places. I feel myself as a visitor of many different cultures, without the feeling to belong really to one of them. On one hand, I feel myself a citizen of the world, on the other I feel myself without roots.”
