"A self-portrait can reflect our outer image or our inner image and in these works, I go beyond the surface to try and find my own identity."

"I am an artist, working with photography. I grew up in Australia, but now live in New York. I create images that explore identity, by questioning what it is that make us who we are. In my recent work, Mixed Emotion, I seek to re-construct self-portraits using deconstructed images of my parents."

"What I eventually find in the blended images is that I am them but they are not me.”

"I create to learn more about myself and the world I live in. I seek answers from my work, although usually the questions that I set out to answer only find more questions. My work is inspired by the desire to learn, discover and explore.I use photography to create. Mostly, I work with analogue photography, shooting medium format film. My process begins with thought, then research and writing before it begins to take form as a visual project. I follow an idea or concept where it leads me, and often end up somewhere quite unexpected."
